We will be going to Camp TRJ in Athens, TX the weekend of November 7-9th. Registration is now open.

We will be arriving Friday night, 11/7. On Saturday 11/8 in the afternoon we will be using the climbing tower. After climbing at the tower, we plan to watch a movie and enjoy a dessert.

We will be going to Camp Constantin at Possum Kingdom Lake for Aqua Adventures - Registration is now open.

• Sunday, June 1st - swim test and June Committee Meeting

All scouts and parents who intend to participate in any aquatics activities with the Troop this year should come to our swim test on Sunday, June 1st at 2 p.m. at the Coppell YMCA.  Passing the swim check will set you up to fully participate in summer camp, Aqua Adventures, pool parties, and other activities that take place on the water this year.  Additionally, passing the swim test at a beginner level is a requirement to earn second class, while passing the swim test at a swimmer level is a requirement to earn first class.  We hope to see you there!

Circle Ten Council is recruiting scouts to go to the National Jamboree at Summit Bechtel Reserve in July 2026.  Scouts will have the opportunity to spend 1-2 days touring Washington D.C. as part of the experience.  Full details about the event are available at https://scoutingevent.com/571-2026NationalJamboree.  Please talk to Mrs. Stephens if you're interested in attending.  Several Troop 848 scouts have expressed an interest or have already signed up for the event, so it would be a lot of fun to add more to our contingent.  It is open to all scouts who will be at least 12 by July 22nd and under 18 by July 31, 2026.      

For those not going on the May 3rd campout, there is a volunteer opportunity for the Kid-netic games in Van Alstyne, TX. 

This is a multi-sport event for students with various physical disabilities. Competition events include Track & Field, Wheelchair Basketball, Power Soccer, and Boccia. Clinics in Wheelchair Tennis, Power Hockey, Archery, and Disc Golf.
